Feasibility Study to identify appropriate revenue-generating tourism investments projects/activities for BKNP and JPA
The project was implemented with the support of the Caucasus Nature Fund. The ultimate goal of the project was to support Borjomi-Kharagauli National Parks and Javakheti Protected Areas in enhancing their tourism potential. Within the framework of the project our team evaluated existing tourism infrastructure, products and services in the teritory of protected sites, identified potential products, services and infrastructure development needs for increasing revenue-generation capacity from tourism services and prepared implementation plan for selected projects, including investment plan, management and administration plan, and marketing and promotional plan for attracting new visitors in the protected areas. Also, recommendations were prepared to mitigate risks from growing number of visitors and keep sustainability of surrounding environments.
